With the sporty look of an open frame, a weight starting at 8.8 kg and excellent driving characteristics, you might almost mistake the Xenon² for a rigid frame wheelchair… were it not for the discreet, extremely flat crossbrace. Thanks to its clever design, the Xenon² can be folded very easily and super compactly.
So it's not a rigid frame wheelchair after all, but the lightest aluminum folding wheelchair on the market.
I have been using the Xenon2 for several years. Although the wheelchair is a folding frame, it drives with absolute stability. The advantage over the rigid frame is that it is also very easy to stow in the car. The anti-tipper causes problems. This small wheel has broken off several times. Otherwise it is a great chair!
Pros
folding frame and still stable
Cons
Anti-tipper breaks off frequently.

Solid with flaws
The wheelchair accompanied me for 5 years. It was my first one. I used it a lot with the Emotion DuoDrive. A solid wheelchair in itself and easy to stow in the car. However, it was too heavy for me and I always needed help. One thing to criticize is that the caster wheels are not very stable and do not withstand impacts from curbs well. In addition, the footplate is very difficult to release and the length adjustment of the footplate does not hold very well and sometimes extends on its own.
Pros
solid wheelchair
good packed size
Cons
caster wheels too unstable
footplate too stiff
folding mechanism releases too easily
heavy

Reliable, robust active wheelchair
The Sopur Xenon2 was/is my first wheelchair, which was configured to my measurements and wishes 8 years ago (after application) at the medical supply store. In short, it is a very solid, robust active wheelchair with a small turning radius and which (according to the people around me who lend me their muscle power) is very light and fits well into my small car. I cannot lift it in or out myself. It has been used almost daily for the 8 years, has been on many flights and still does what it is supposed to do today, replace my legs and give me freedom. But: Meanwhile, the frame is very warped and in general a new wheelchair will soon be needed as it no longer quite fits me and my disability. Due to my spinal fusion and my muscle disease in general, my balance is rather poor and I now notice that I can compensate for unevenness very poorly and often have the feeling that I am falling out of the wheelchair. I had my front wheels retrofitted because I always got stuck on cobblestones, for example. The footplate is sometimes a bit annoying because it is fixed, often jams and it is strenuous to fold it up. Much of this is also due to the progression of my illness, I had more strength back then and could usually drive alone, even though the wheelchair is super light, unfortunately that is no longer possible for longer distances without help today. I do not own a handbike or anything similar. I am currently trying to avoid sitting in the wheelchair for several hours at a time because I notice that pain is increasing more and more and comfort is no longer given as it was back then. I would give an 8/10 because all in all it is a good first wheelchair that always stayed loyal to me on my adventure holidays.
Pros
super agile
light
chic color
ideal beginner wheelchair
Cons
footplate too hard to move and jams
frame can warp

Xenon2
Overall a good entry-level wheelchair, you do not know much about it yet, do not know enough details, and still have a vague idea of your physical needs that you require in a wheelchair. Robust chair! Not recommended for handbiking! Frame distorts very easily! With matching accessories it becomes agile! Less suitable for pain patients, shear forces demand much more counter-effort and shoulder work. A good chair for the Smartdrive propulsion! It was no longer an option for me because it could not be adjusted any further to suit my disability.
Pros
agile with good accessories
robust
Good entry-level wheelchair
Good to use with power assist like Smartdrive
, nicely small, loadable into almost every car
,
Cons
not really stable in itself
not recommended for handbiking.
the footplate often does not open, jams, or does not close.

robust, everyday all-rounder
I received this wheelchair together with a power attachment and use it exclusively in this combination. Therefore, weight plays a minor role for me. By attaching the power device, the folding frame also gains a bit more stability. Over time, you notice that the frame has warped slightly, but it is still very usable. The only disadvantage for me is that the longest possible length between the seat surface and the footplate is still not long enough for my liking.
Pros
Can be used together with a power attachment from the same manufacturer, which makes TÜV approval easier.
It is easy to take apart for transport.
Cons
cannot be adapted to very specific requirements.

All in all I was very satisfied with this wheelchair. I used it for a total of ten years and that alone shows how durable it is. In terms of durability, I never had a fundamental problem. The fact that the frame warped and bent a little bit over such a long period of daily use I consider normal, especially with a folding frame. What became increasingly clear to me over the years, however, is the weight. The wheelchair is simply not particularly light for my everyday life, and I noticed that this takes a heavy toll on the shoulders in the long run. In retrospect, I would definitely choose a lighter model next time. The folding frame is also a point that I would no longer choose for myself today. It is simply not as stable and light as a rigid frame and has worn out significantly over time. Due to the lack of stability, the frame eventually warped, which in turn brought other problems. I had difficulties particularly often with the front wheels and the footplate. The front wheels often rattled or caused problems in general, so I couldn't drive as fast as I actually wanted to. The footplate repeatedly adjusted itself over time and partially slipped down on one side. In my estimation, this was also due to the warped frame. In addition, the footplate cannot be adjusted high enough to really fit my leg length optimally. You just notice over the years that not everything is one hundred percent adaptable to my body and my physical needs. However, I also have a very specific anatomy due to my disability, which should be said to be fair. Despite the mentioned points of criticism, I would say that this wheelchair is well suited as an entry-level wheelchair. It is robust, durable and can withstand a lot. For very individual requirements, however, I would make different choices today.
Pros
Durable
Robust
Good entry-level wheelchair
Easy to transport (trunk etc.)
Cons
Weight
Folding frame -> as a result, the frame warped over time
