Great wheelchair
The Speedy 4teen is my second wheelchair and for me a huge difference from my first model. My first wheelchair was a standard insurance model without any real customizability. It served its purpose, but much of it was simply predetermined. I had to adapt to the wheelchair rather than the other way around. With the Speedy 4teen, it feels completely different. For the first time, I have the feeling that the wheelchair was truly fitted to me. Seat height, center of gravity, and position were adjusted to my needs. The driving experience is much more direct and active. I sit more stably, but at the same time more dynamically. In addition, the wheelchair looks sportier and less "clinical," which also makes an emotional difference for me. It is not just an aid – it is my daily companion. In addition, I use the Alber Emotion M25 for power assist. This means I drive independently, but get support when my strength is not enough. Especially on longer distances, inclines, or exhausting days, I notice how important this support is. Due to my physical limitations, my strength is not always constant, and with the add-on drive I can stay active without overexerting myself. The combination of an individually adapted active wheelchair and electric power assist gives me back a large piece of independence. I can go further, remain more flexible, and feel safer on the go. For me, the switch from the standard model to the Speedy 4teen was therefore a real step towards self-determination and quality of life.
