Reviews & experiences
Due to my muscle disease, I had to get a wheelchair last year, so the Avantgarde XXL 2 is my first wheelchair. I got it used, but in very excellent condition and with the options just as I have now ordered it for my prescribed wheelchair. For short distances (office) I get along well manually and the ease of movement is really good. Since my problem lies more in longer distances (muscle fatigue), I also retrofitted the e-motion wheels and can now cover longer distances both indoors and outdoors. All in all, for my first wheelchair, I am very satisfied.
- two-piece aluminum footplates that hook together to form a stable footplate
- armrests do not "steal" any of the seat width
- dead weight of the chair is unfortunately quite high, but this is due to the stability
